ASELSAN has developed Turkey’s first domestically produced heart-lung machine, aiming to strengthen national capabilities in medical technology. Çizgi Teknoloji proudly contributed to the project with its reliable and hygienic medical-grade Panel PC solution. 

Turkey’s First National Heart-Lung Machine 

Initiated in 2020, ASELSAN’s heart-lung machine project has reached a critical milestone. The machine, which temporarily takes over the function of the heart and lungs during open-heart surgeries, has successfully completed its blood testing phase and is expected to enter hospital use by 2026. 

This innovation is part of Turkey’s broader goal to reduce foreign dependency in high-tech medical devices. 

 

Technical Highlights of the Heart-Lung Machine 

• High Domestic Production Rate: 90% locally developed, showcasing Turkey’s engineering capacity. 
• Award-Winning Design: Recognized by iF Design, A’Design, and IDA Design awards. 
• Clinical Collaboration: Ongoing trials conducted with the Turkish Health Institutes (TÜSEB) 

Çizgi Teknoloji’s Panel PC: Engineered for Medical Excellence 

Çizgi Teknoloji supported this strategic initiative by providing a high-performance Panel PC, integrated into the heart-lung machine’s user interface and control system. 

Key features of the Panel PC include: 

• Fanless structure for quiet, dust-free operation 
• Antibacterial front panel for hygienic medical environments 
• IP65-certified enclosure for water and dust protection 
• High computing performance to enable seamless system operation 
• Compliance with IEC 60601-1 medical safety standards
